We’re going to be making this a yearly thing, as what a way to celebrate one of the best composers of all time.
What can we say about Ryuichi Sakamoto, that hasn’t already been said? The man was truly an icon, having made some of the most prolific and ground-breaking music you’ll probably ever hear. Being a key member of YMO and influencing sounds from Electro to Hip-Hop, then moving into the realms of Classical and ambient, the man’s ears had no limitations. So come to 1001 and dive into a world of sounds featuring the one and only Ryuichi Sakamoto and anything he worked on.
